about

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) with over 10 years experience in agencies, organisations, and private practice.

I work with individuals over 18 who want to understand themselves in-depth. And who wish to benefit from what this self-awareness means.

My core training and practice is relational psychodynamic. I also find attachment and Jungian theory useful in my work. Our relationships with others mirror our first relationships in infancy. Exploring our attachment styles and patterns can give us insight into understanding ourselves and our relationships. I am interested in neuroscience and the plasticity of the brain. Therefore, I welcome contemporary research that confirms we are able to change the way we think and behave. We can do this by retraining our neural pathways which may have become stunted or misdirected in early experiences.

I am also interested in the relationship between the mind and the body. And how they both work together to give us information about ourselves.

Working with me provides a space to explore your inner self, who you think you are, on a unique journey to discover your true self.

I believe that giving oneself space and time for contemplation and reflection is vital for our optimum physical and mental health.
This space allows the chance to become aware of how we are feeling, in turn, helping us to tolerate and manage our emotions, feel less stressed and calmer.

My aim is to help each client find their authentic self and become self-reliant leading to a more fulfilling and free life.

I am also available for supervision. Contact me for more details.
